ABS EBS Control Module

A computer unit that coordinates Anti-lock Braking (ABS) and Electronic Braking Systems (EBS) to regulate brake pressure, especially in commercial vehicles.

The ABS EBS control module is the brain of heavy truck braking. It processes wheel speed data and calculates the braking force needed for each axle. It responds faster than standard pneumatic brakes. This prevents jackknifing and keeps the trailer aligned with the cab under hard stops.

EBS uses electronic signals instead of air pressure to trigger the brakes. This cuts response time in half. If the module detects a fault, it shuts down the electronic assist and reverts to standard air brakes.

Frequently Asked Questions

ABS prevents wheels from locking during braking. EBS is an electronic system that triggers and balances brake pressure faster than standard air lines.
Warning lights on the dash, delayed trailer brake response, or uneven brake wear between the tractor and trailer.
Yes, heavy-duty diagnostic scanners can connect to the truck's OBD port to pull error codes from the module.
