Safety Glasses

Protective eyewear designed to shield the eyes from flying debris, chemical splashes, and sparks in the workshop.

Your eyes are irreplaceable, and a single metal shaving or splash of brake fluid can cause permanent damage. Safety glasses are a non-negotiable requirement whenever you are under a car, using power tools, or working near batteries. Modern safety glasses feature impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses and side shields to protect against flying debris from grinding wheels or wire brushes. Choose a pair with anti-fog coating so you can see clearly in tight, warm spaces under the chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Regular glasses are not impact-resistant and do not have side shields. You can get prescription safety glasses or wear over-the-glass safety goggles over your regular eyewear.
The ANSI Z87.1 stamp certifies that the glasses have been tested to withstand high-velocity impacts from debris. Never use glasses in the shop without this certification.
Rinse them with clean water to wash away hard dust particles, then wash with mild dish soap and dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Never use paper towels, which can scratch the lenses.
