Coil Spring Spacer

A polyurethane, rubber, or metal ring placed above or below a coil spring to lift the vehicle height or restore sagging suspension.

A coil spring spacer sits directly between the spring and the chassis. It adds a small amount of ride height without replacing the spring itself. Off-roaders use them to clear larger tires. They are cheaper than full lift kits. But they do not improve suspension travel.

Rubber or polyurethane spacers can squeak over bumps as the suspension flexes. Metal spacers are noisy because they transmit road vibration directly into the frame. They are best for cosmetic lifting rather than performance tuning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Metal spacers make the ride stiffer because they transmit more road noise. Polyurethane or rubber spacers maintain a smoother feel.
It is a temporary fix. Sagging springs are worn out and weak. Spacers restore height but the weak spring will continue to degrade.
Usually between 0.5 to 2.5 inches. Going higher requires longer shocks and adjustable control arms to correct the alignment.
