A/C Recovery Recycling Machine

A professional shop station that recovers, filters, evacuates, and recharges refrigerant in compliance with environmental regulations.

Releasing refrigerant into the air is illegal and harms the environment. Professional shops use recovery machines to service A/C systems. This machine connects to the car's ports, sucks out the refrigerant, and separates the compressor oil. It filters out moisture and acid, storing the clean refrigerant in an internal tank. It then pulls a deep vacuum to boil off moisture before recharging the system with a precise weight of refrigerant.

Modern machines are fully automated. You input the vehicle year and model, and the machine looks up the factory refrigerant weight in its database. It weighs the gas using an electronic scale to ensure exact charging, which is critical for small modern systems that hold less than 15 ounces of gas.

Frequently Asked Questions

DIY cans let you add gas, but they cannot remove air, moisture, or check for leaks. If your system is empty, you must use a machine to pull a vacuum first to prevent corrosion and lockups.
R1234yf is a newer, low-global-warming refrigerant. The machines use different service couplers, have built-in gas purity analyzers, and feature spark-free internal fans to handle the slightly flammable gas safely.
It typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. Sucking out the gas takes 15 minutes, pulling a vacuum takes 20 to 30 minutes, and the leak test and recharge take another 10 minutes.
