The AC condenser radiator module controls heat for the engine and passenger cabin. The A/C condenser sits in front of the radiator to get hit by cool air first. As the refrigerant passes through, it loses heat and turns from a hot gas into a liquid. Then, the air travels through the engine radiator behind it.
Because they are stacked, dirt, leaves, and bugs can get trapped between them. This buildup blocks airflow, causing the A/C to blow warm air at stoplights. It can also cause the engine to run hot or overheat under load.
Cleaning the fins is crucial for cooling performance. Spray the assembly from the back with a hose to wash out debris. Be careful not to bend the soft aluminum fins, which restricts airflow.
