Cylinder 8 glow plug preheats the combustion chamber of cylinder 8. It helps start the engine in cold weather. It is located at the rear of the engine block. Access to this plug is restricted by the firewall, making replacement difficult. If the plug fails, cylinder 8 will misfire when cold, causing the engine to shake.
