3 Glow Plug Circuit

The electrical network responsible for routing high-amperage current from the preheat relay to cylinder 3 glow plug.

Cylinder 3 glow plug circuit is the power supply loop for heating cylinder 3 before startup. The wiring route connects the glow plug control module to the plug terminal pin. Engine vibrations can rub this wiring harness against the cylinder head, wearing down the insulation. This creates an open circuit or short. The engine control module monitors circuit resistance. It logs a fault code if values drift outside normal operating limits.
