3 Glow Plug

The electric preheating element located inside cylinder 3.

The cylinder 3 glow plug warms the combustion chamber of cylinder 3. It helps the engine start in cold conditions. It is located on the cylinder head. If the plug fails, cylinder 3 will struggle to start, causing the engine to misfire and emit white smoke.

It causes rough idling, misfiring, and white smoke on startup. The issues clear up once the engine gets warm.
Unhook the electrical connector, use a deep socket to unscrew the plug, and screw in the new one. Check torque specs.
